Tawanda also worked for Oxfam Great Britain as a spokesperson on African issues, coordinating policy, communications, humanitarian and long-term development programs, as part of the management team in the Southern Africa region. He has also held roles with Impact Development Associates and the Zimbabwe Council of Churches.
Dr. Mutasah is a prolific contributor and commentator in various media outlets covering topics such as the rule of law, human rights and democracy.
He trained in law at Harvard University, New York University and the University of Zimbabwe, and holds a management degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Tawanda has taught at the Paris School of International Affairs on international humanitarian law and human rights laws. It is an honor to have Dr. Mutasah on our Board as a champion of a robust pan-African agenda wherever he serves.
