Designed to help researchers present their findings more effectively to journalists and policy makers, the workshop gathered scholars from Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda.
Participants discussed challenges to engaging and influencing policy processes, develop a better understanding of when research is newsworthy and/or relevant to public policy, learn to prepare policy briefs, and practice pitching their findings to the media and influential policy makers.
TrustAfrica organized the workshop in collaboration with the Global Development Network, CIPPEC and CommsConsult.
